Ara, a prominent media outlet, sought a digital transformation to boost subscriptions and elevate their digital experience. We stepped in to redefine their digital strategy, infuse a growth-driven mindset, and craft a seamless omnichannel Design System for their app and website.
Our approach was grounded in two key insights. First, news is liquid; staying on top of the ever-changing current events is like trying to wrangle chaos. Our design and CMS were engineered to make news modular to write and responsive regarding distribution.
The second insight was that there are diverse ways to consume the news. We championed three distinct reading styles to shape the information architecture: Immediate, In-depth, and Editorial Perspective. We also identified three user interaction levels: Reflective, Emotional, and Critical.
